Mama'S Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 sticks butter or margarine, cut in pats
1 c. sugar
1 large bag marshmallows
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes until very tender.
Drain.
Add butter and sugar to potatoes.
Cook over medium heat 20 to 30 minutes until syrup forms and boils slowly around potatoes.
Do not cook too fast or potatoes will burn.
Remove potatoes from syrup with large spoon and arrange in casserole or 9 x 13 x 2-inch cake pan.
Pour syrup over potatoes and top with marshmallows.
Bake at 300\u00b0 until marshmallows are golden brown.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
May be refrigerated several days.
