Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 large potatoes
    1 small onion
    1 small carrot, chopped
    small amount of bacon grease
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In a medium size pot or slow cooker, place 2 1/2 cups water, salt, pepper, carrots, onions and potatoes.
    Cook until tender. Make a paste with 2 tablespoons flour and small amount of milk. Have this in a medium bowl.
    Add about 1 cup of milk to paste and add some hot liquid from pot to this mixture, stirring all the time.
    When paste mixture is warm, add to pot and stir until well mixed.
    Leave on low heat until thickened.
    Stir every once in a while to keep from sticking.
    Very good on a cold day with cornbread and a grilled cheese sandwich!
