Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large green tomatoes
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2/3 c. plain bread crumbs
1/4 c. flour
vegetable shortening or oil for frying
Preparation

Cut tomatoes crosswise in 3/8-inch thick slices.
In small bowl, beat eggs, salt and pepper until frothy.
In separate small bowls, place bread crumbs and flour.
