Tom'S Green Chili Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2 large eggs
    2/3 c. white cornmeal
    pinch of sugar
    1 (4 oz.) can mild green chilies, drained and minced
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Generously butter loaf pan.
    Combine 2/3 cup milk with the eggs; beat well and set aside.
    In medium saucepan over low heat, combine remaining milk with the butter; bring just to a simmer.
    Increase heat slightly; add the cornmeal in a steady stream, stirring constantly.
    Stir in salt.
    Remove from heat; pour in egg mixture.
    Whisk until smooth.
    Add chilies; whisk to combine.
    Sprinkle baking powder over all; continue whisking to combine.
    Pour batter into dish; bake until puffy and golden, about 30 minutes.
    Serve immediately.
