Sweet-Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless pork shoulder, cut in strips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can pineapple chunks (in juice)
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    3/4 c. sliced pepper
    1/2 c. sliced onion
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Brown pork in shortening on all sides in skillet. Meanwhile drain pineapple; reserve juice. Combine brown sugar, salt and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple juice, water, vinegar and soy sauce. Remove meat from skillet. Blend cornstarch mixture into pan drippings. Add meat and cook on low heat until meat is tender. Add pineapple, green pepper and onion. Cook for 3 minutes.
