Ham, Potato And Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 potatoes
1 large onion, chopped
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. cubed ham
1 1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Cook potatoes in enough water to barely cover until tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.
In saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender, but not brown.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk and potatoes, undrained.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add ham and cheese; stir to melt cheese.
Makes
a large pot of soup.
