Bulldog Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    3/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    sugar
Preparation
    Combine the first 7 ingredients.
    Cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs.
    Stir in molasses and egg.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
