Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. nuts, cut coarsely
    1 stick butter
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 1/4 c. plain flour
    1/2 c. candied pineapple
    1/2 c. candied cherries, cut in 1/2
    5 oz. diced dates
Preparation
    Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour and flavoring.
    Spoon over fruit.
    Grease a pan with butter.
    Place nuts in bottom.
    Layer in cherries, pineapple and dates.
    Cook 1 hour at 300\u00b0 (maybe less). Use a large biscuit pan.
