Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1 c. cornmeal
3 Tbsp. molasses
2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 c. milk
Preparation

Pour boiling water over cornmeal and molasses; let stand for 5 minutes.
Beat remaining ingredients with a rotary beater until it is smooth; stir in cornmeal mixture.
Pour the batter from a 1/4-cup measuring cup onto the hot griddle.
(Grease griddle, if necessary.)
Bake until bubbles appear.
Turn and bake the other side until golden brown.
Makes about 18.
