Zwieback(Double Buns) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cakes yeast
    4 Tbsp. warm water
    4 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. melted butter and lard
    1 1/2 c. warm milk
    4 tsp. salt
    flour (enough to make a stiff dough)
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water and sugar. Let stand 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. The dough will be softer than bread dough. (When the dough no longer sticks to the bread board on which it is being kneaded, it will have enough flour.) Let rise until double in bulk. Pinch off small balls of dough and place on a greased baking sheet. Then place a smaller ball on top of each bun. Press down to help seal. Let rise until double. Bake at 375\u00b0 about 15 minutes or until nicely browned.
