Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. garlic salt
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper.
    Remove all the seeds and membrane.
    Cook peppers in boiling, salted water (1/2 tsp. salt to 1 cup water) 5 minutes. Drain.
    Cook and stir ground beef and onion in 10 inch skillet until beef is brown and onion is tender, drain off fat.
    Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and 1 cup of tomato sauce.
    Heat until rice is hot.
    Stuff each pepper lightly with about 1/2 cup of beef mixture.
    Stand peppers upright in baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2 inch. Pour on remaining tomato sauce.
    Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
    Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.
    6 servings.
