Ingredients

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 Tbsp. cream or evaporated milk
2 tsp. butter
Preparation

Bring to the boiling point (except vanilla) slowly, stirring while cooking.
Test by using the hard ball stage.
Remove from heat, cool slightly and add vanilla.
Beat with a wooden spoon until you can spread.
