Brown Edge Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add remaining ingredients. Beat until thoroughly blended.
    Makes a very thick batter.
    Drop by scant teaspoon on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with ground blanched almonds or leave plain.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 to 12 minutes.
