Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped candied cherries
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar; continue creaming until light and fluffy.
Add buttermilk.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add fruits and nuts.
Dredge into flour mixture.
Add this to other mixture; blend thoroughly.
Chill dough for 1 hour.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets or into greased miniature muffin pans.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yields 5 to 6 dozen.
