Fried Pie Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. cold water (ice)
Preparation
    Cut together with knife until crumbly and add ice water to mix.
    Handle as little as possible.
    Makes 18 to 20 balls.
    Roll out to size of saucer, then put filling in between and go around edge with water on fingertips, then fold and crimp with fork. Have grease in skillet hot.
    Fry until browned.
    Drizzle with powdered sugar, water and vanilla, mixed together as soon as done.
