Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    16 oz. crunchy peanut butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    3/4 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    In a big bowl, mix butter, peanut butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together dry ingredients and then blend in bowl with wet ingredients.
    Shape in small balls (about 1-inch size). Roll balls in granulated sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press with fork.
    Do not put on bottom rack in oven.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Cool slightly on a rack. Makes 8 dozen cookies.
