Catherine'S Fresh Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 ears fresh corn
    3/4 stick butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/4 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut corn off cob; scrape cob for juice.
    Bring milk and butter to a boil.
    Add all ingredients in a heavy 2-quart pot.
    Cut heat down to medium-low.
    Cook, uncovered, for 45 minutes, stirring often.
    Don't allow to stick and burn.
    Ready to serve.
