Oatmeal Caramelitas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

14 oz. light caramels
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. oleo
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Melt caramels and milk.
Cool slightly.
Combine remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and nuts).
Put 1/2 of this in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on this crust.
Then put caramel mixture on.
Put the rest of the ingredients on and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Chill 2 hours before cutting.
