Asparagusa Bites - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    4 oz. Blue cheese, crumbled
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 can asparagus spears, drained
    thin sliced white bread
    2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Mix cream cheese with Blue cheese and add egg.
    Count number of asparagus spears in can; count out same number of slices of bread.
    Trim crusts from bread.
    Roll trimmed bread as thin as possible with rolling pin.
    Spread each slice with cheese and egg mixture.
    Place asparagus spear on each bread slice and roll up. Cut each rolled slice into thirds.
    Dip each roll into melted butter.
    Place close together in shallow baking pan.
    May be frozen at this stage.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes if not frozen.
    Bake 30 minutes or until brown if frozen.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
