German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. potatoes, cooked and sliced
    1 1/4 c. bacon, chopped
    2 large onions, finely chopped
    1/4 c. bacon drippings or salad oil
    1 c. chicken stock base
    3 c. hot water
    1/4 c. chives, chopped
    1 c. apple cider vinegar
Preparation
    Combine the ingredients and heat.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Serves 16.
    May be served cold.
