Top-Of-Range Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. chuck beef roast
    1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/2 tsp. seasoned pepper
    1 (1 3/8 oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix
Preparation
    Preheat family skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes.
    Brown roast for 6 to 7 minutes per side.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Sprinkle roast with seasoned salt, pepper and soup mix.
    Roast, covered, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Do not add liquid.
    Turn after 1 hour.
    Raw vegetables may be added 1 hour before completion of roasting. Juices that accumulate may be used for gravy.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
