Joe Froggers(Good) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup rum
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups dark molasses
1 cups flour
1 tablespoon ginger
1 teaspoon clove
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Preparation

Cream shortening, add sugar until light and fluffy. Dissolve salt in water and mix with rum. Add soda to molasses. Sift flour with spices and add alternately with liquid ingredients to cream mixture. Stir well between each addition. The dough should be sticky and will be easier to handle if chilled overnight. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with large cutter, about 5 inches. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
