German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt or less
    5 lb. potatoes
    1/2 c. onions
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Brown flour and set aside.
    Cut bacon into small pieces. Saute in small amount of bacon grease.
    Add celery and onions; saute.
    Add water, sugar and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add browned flour and stir until thickened.
    Add ingredients to cooked potatoes.
    May be eaten in 5 hours after cooked, but is better if served the next day.
