Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 well-beaten eggs
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. boiling water

Preparation

Beat together first 6 ingredients.
Sift together flour, soda and baking powder and beat into first mixture.
Add boiling water last.
(Add ingredients in order listed.) Bake in slow oven (350\u00b0).
This cake will stay moist for a week or so.
