Brown Sugar Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat shortening, sugar and eggs; stir in milk.
    Sift dry ingredients together and mix.
    Chill at least 1 hour.
    Drop by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart on lightly greased sheet.
    Bake only until set and when touched no imprint remains at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 6 dozen 2 1/2-inch cookies.
