Carambola Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. crushed carambola (starfruit)
    7 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 pouch Certo fruit pectin
Preparation
    Remove\tstems from fruit.
    Peel.
    Remove seeds.
    Crush. Measure fruit into a 6 or 8 quart pot.
    Measure sugar and stir into
    fruit.
    Add
    1/2
    teaspoon
    butter
    or margarine.
    Bring mixture
    to a full boil over high heat.
    Stir constantly.
    Add Certo.
    Return
    to\ta full, rolling boil for 1 minute.
    Remove from heat.\tSkim off foam.\tPour into jars.
    Makes 7 cups.
