Chow Chow(A Tasty Accompaniment To Any Meat, Fish Or Poultry) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. green tomatoes (22 to 24)
    2 qt. onions (8 or 9)
    12 medium green peppers
    12 ripe red peppers
    4 qt. cabbage, finely shredded (2 large heads)
    2 c. salt
    2 qt. water
    3 qt. white vinegar
    9 c. sugar
    1 c. mustard seed
    1/4 c. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. allspice
Preparation
    Put tomatoes, onion, green and red peppers through coarse blade of food grinder.
    Combine with shredded cabbage in large kettle.
    Dissolve salt in water.
    Pour over vegetables and let stand overnight.
