Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter or margarine thoroughly, then gradually add sugar.
Combine the dry ingredients and add them to the butter, sugar mixture, alternately with the sour cream.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Turn out the dough onto a floured board.
Knead it and roll it out as thin as possible.
Cut into desired shapes.
Bake on a cookie sheet in a hot 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
(The cooking time depends on how thin you roll the cookies, so watch them carefully.)
