Party Bake Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lean pork chops or 1 each person (1-inch thick)
    4 thin slices onion
    1/4 c. uncooked rice (not instant)
    1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt and pepper
Preparation
    Season chops well on both sides with salt and pepper.
    Brown on both sides in lightly greased hot skillet.
    Place each browned chop in a baking dish.
    Top each chop with a slice of onion, 1 heaping tablespoon of rice and cover with whole tomatoes.
    Add any remaining tomatoes and juice to pan. Cover tightly with lid or foil; simmer over low heat or bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
