Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9-inch baked pie shell
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    3 pt. fresh strawberries
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. whipped cream
Preparation
    Wash and hull strawberries.
    Remove half (the best looking ones) and mash the rest.
    Add sugar and cornstarch.
    Mix well and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear. Stir in lemon juice.
    Cool.
    Add the remaining strawberries, saving 6 for garnish.
    Pour into the pie shell and chill.
    Before serving, top with the whipped cream and garnish with the remaining 6 strawberries.
