Walnut Turtles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. walnuts
36 caramels
3 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chocolate chips
1 1/2 tsp. Crisco
Preparation

Place caramels in top of double boiler with butter.
Set over boiling water.
Heat until completely melted, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
Stir well.
Add nuts.
Drop by teaspoonful.
Melt Crisco and chocolate over hot, not boiling water.
Spread over candies and allow to set.
Makes 28 to 30 pieces.
