Mary Rose'S French Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 cans apple pie filling
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening and add egg and milk. Roll out as a pastry.
    Fill in with apples.
    Dot with butter (add raisins if you like).
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
