Old Fashioned Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. apples, peeled and sliced
    1/4 to 1 c. sugar (depending on tartness of apples)
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. light shortening
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk or enough to make soft cake batter
Preparation
    Use an 8 x 8-inch ungreased pan.
    Put the blended first 3 ingredients into pan.
    Mix next 6 ingredients well and spread over the apple mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until the apples are done.
