Maxie'S Homemade Milk Bones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 c. powdered dry milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    6 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1/4 c. cold water
    3 Tbsp. cod liver oil
    6 Tbsp. rye kernels
Preparation
    Combine flour, milk, salt, garlic and shortening together like a pie crust dough, then add remaining ingredients.
    Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Use milk bone shaped cookie cutter or any other shape you desire.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen large sized dog milk bones.
