Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine or butter
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 bananas, mashed (1 c.)
butter frosting (optional)
Preparation

Beat the margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 minutes.
Add about half of the flour, the sugar, eggs, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda and cloves; beat until thoroughly combined.
Beat in remaining flour. Beat in bananas; stir in nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool cookies on rack and frost with butter frosting (optional).
Makes 60 cookies.
