Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 stick butter or margarine, softened
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. red pepper (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Batter will be very stiff and can be mixed better with hands. Press through a cookie press to make 3-inch pieces and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 250\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes. Cool thoroughly and then store in an airtight container.
