German Sweet And Sour Beans And Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 (9 oz.) frozen green beans
    2 slices bacon
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a saucepan cook carrots, covered in salted water until tender.
    Add green beans.
    Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    Drain well. In a skillet, cook bacon; drain.
    Save 1 tablespoon drippings. Cook onion in drippings.
    Add apple, vinegar, sugar and salt. Cover and cook until tender.
    Add carrots and beans; heat through. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
