Cherry Cobbler(Diabetic) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3 Tbsp. skim milk
    3 tsp. Fasweet
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. water packed sour cherries (with juice)
    2 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until consistency of cornmeal.
    Combine milk, 1 teaspoon of the Fasweet and the beaten egg.
    Add to the dry ingredients, stirring only until dampened.
    Meanwhile, sweeten cherries with remaining Fasweet.
    Place in a 1-quart casserole and sprinkle with tapioca.
    Spoon batter over cherries.
    Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) 30 to 40 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serves 8.
