Sherried Chicken And Artichokes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up into serving pieces
    1 stick butter or margarine
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 c. sherry
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 box frozen artichoke hearts
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet (that has a cover).
    Salt and pepper chicken pieces; then place in pan and brown.
    Leave chicken in pan and add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until juices are low.
