Cranberry-Orange Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 tsp. grated lemon (rind)
1/2 tsp. grated orange (rind)
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, beaten
1 c. nuts
1 lb. cranberries
Preparation

Sift together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Add shortening, lemon and orange rinds, orange juice and eggs.
Mix until blended.
Fold in nuts and berries.
Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Press into corners, leaving a slight hollow in the center.
Set aside for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0. Bake 60 to 70 minutes.
