Apple Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 Tbsp. sour milk
1 c. chopped unpeeled red apples
1 1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Blend shortening and sugar.
Add well beaten eggs.
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and soda.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add sour milk.
Fold in apples, nuts and flavoring. Bake in loaf pans at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
