Ingredients

6 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1 qt. whole milk
3 c. cream or 1 c. cream and 2 cans Carnation milk
3 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald whole milk.
Beat eggs and sugar together.
Add to scalded milk.
Cook mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens like custard.
Remove from heat and cool. Add cream or cream mixture (not beaten) and vanilla.
Cool thoroughly and freeze according to freezer instructions.
