Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sliced peaches
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Cook 3 cups peaches and 1/4 cup sugar until mixture comes to a boil.
    Add remaining sugar, butter, salt and cornstarch.
    Cook until clear and glossy.
    Place remaining peaches in cooked pastry shell.
    Pour hot mixture over peaches.
    Chill until cold.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
