California Polka Dot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine raisins and water. Bring to a boil. Cool to room temperature. Mix next 4 ingredients. Stir into raisin mixture. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to mixture, beating well. Pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 60 minutes.
