Cream Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 plus 1/8 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
2 1/4 tsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 Tbsp. cold water
2 egg whites
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation

Beat egg yolks and water until thick and lemon in color.
Add flavoring and sugar gradually and beat until sugar is dissolved. Mix and sift together flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt and add to first mixture.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into flour mixture.
Bake in greased loaf pan at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Turn upside-down on rack to cool.
Loosen from sides of pan when cool.
Delicious with strawberries and cream.
