Ingredients

1/2 c. butter (it's a must)
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cake flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 slightly beaten egg white
1 c. ground pecans
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk and beat well with a mixer. Add vanilla, cake flour and salt.
Dough must be stiff; chill at least 1 hour.
