Honey Granola - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. old-fashioned rolled oats (uncooked)
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. wheat germ (toasted or untoasted)
    3 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 c. honey or 2/3 c. honey plus 1/3 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    raisins, dates and nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ and cinnamon in a large bowl. Combine honey, vegetable oil and vanilla with a wire whisk, then stir into dry ingredients.
    Spread in greased large, shallow baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes, stirring often.
    Cool thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
    Add optional ingredients as desired.
    Store in cool dry place.
