Fried Cabbage And Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. finely shredded cabbage
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. elbow macaroni
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
Preparation
    Mix cabbage and salt and let stand for 30 minutes; squeeze by hand to drain off moisture.
    Cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 10 to 12 minutes, or until tender.
    Drain; rinse with cold water and drain again.
    Combine butter or margarine, sugar, pepper, caraway seed, cabbage and macaroni in large skillet.
    Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until lightly browned.
    Add pimiento. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
