Decorator'S Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 egg whites
    food coloring (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. Colonial confectioners sugar
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl cream shortening 5 minutes.
    Add egg whites; cream well.
    Add vanilla.
    By hand, gradually stir in confectioners sugar.
    If desired, add food coloring.
    Use to frost or decorate cakes.
    Store unused portion covered in refrigerator.
