Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. bean sprouts, drained
    1 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
    2 green peppers, in strips
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Slice steak into narrow strips.
    Brown in the oil.
    Combine with garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce and sugar.
    Cook on low in crock-pot for 6 to 8 hours.
    Turn to high.
    Add bean sprouts, tomatoes and pepper.
    Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into pot. Cover and cook on high 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened. Sprinkle with onions.
    May serve over rice.
    Suitable for freezing.
